Starting in July 2020, I am a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at Davidson College, in Davidson, North Carolina. You can reach me at jutroyka@davidson.edu.
Hi! I am a postdoctoral visitor in mathematics, researching enumerative and algebraic combinatorics. I study permutations, symmetric functions, and graph enumeration. I earned my BA in mathematics at Carleton College (Minnesota), and I earned my PhD in mathematics at Dartmouth College where my advisor was Sergi Elizalde.
Here at York University, my postdoctoral supervisor is Neal Madras; he and I have been working on pattern-avoiding affine permutations and their asymptotic enumeration.
